On Tuesday, 10 May 2022 Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Linda Kenma, Chancellor, together with Dr. Sutipon Chotiratanasak, Vice Chancellor, Associate Professor Dr. Chonlada Pongpattanayothin, Vice Chancellor, Assistant Professor Nusanee Meekaewkunchorn, Dean of the Faculty of Management Science, discussed with Mr. Renaud Meyer, UNDP Representative, and Mr. Wisut Tantinan, Partnership and Engagement Specialist of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Thailand, to determine a cooperation approach for achieving the goal of being a university for sustainable development according to the goals of the United Nations. In this regard, the University presented information by Dr. Thanida Sucharitham and Mr. Konstantinos Balis, responsible for the project, which consists of announcing a policy to show the intention to become a university for sustainable development, mission and strategic plans aligned with 17 goals, impact ranking by Time Higher Education, and guidelines for driving SDGs
Through the presentation and discussion, the UNDP admired systematically and firmly working of the University, able to organize projects and activities that reach the local community together with truly solving the problem of poverty. There were also programs that help and support both Thai and foreign students in various dimensions in accordance with the goal of ending poverty. As a result, the University was ranked at the 6th place in SDG 1, No Poverty, from universities in Thailand. There would be an appointment to discuss ways to continue cooperation between the two organizations on 20 May 2022
