BSRU executives attended the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation of various health professional councils (Presidents of 7 professional councils)

On Tuesday, 10 May 2022, the Thai Health Professional Alliance Against Tobacco organized the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation of various health professional councils (Presidents of 7 professional councils) at The Athenee Hotel Bangkok, which Bansomdetchaopraya Rajabhat University by Assoc. Prof. Sayan Puttala, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Pornthipa Kraithep, Chairperson of the Department of Public Health, participated in the ceremony and joined the Declaration on Cooperation for a Smoke-Free Thai Society by the deans of all public health professional organizations, asking for cooperation from all institutions and organizations to sign an agreement and have a mission to work together as follows:

1. Contain contents and issue exams related to tobacco products that affect health and the cessation of drug use in the bachelor’s degree programs of the institute
2. Provide a survey on consumption of tobacco products among students
3. Provide a system to help treat students who wish to quit smoking or using products in those who have not yet quit, in order to prevent consuming within the institution’s area
4. Take action to control their institutions to be smoke-free zones and free of all types of tobacco products
5. Encourage students to participate in activities related to tobacco consumption control
6. Not accept any form of funding from businesses related to production, distribution or promotion of tobacco products as prescribed by the Tobacco Products Control Act B.E. 2560
